Formed in 1993, the Freedom Foundation Trust started operations in Bangalore and since then has come a long way. It now undertakes HIV/AIDS, alcoholism, and de-addiction-related work in the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Goa.
